Installation Instructions
1.Download the LG Mobile Phone Software Update Tool to your computer.
Note: The country and language settings in the LG Mobile Phone Software Update Tool are set automatically based on your computer’s settings. If you want to change them, go to the menu "Options & Help," then choose "Country & Language."
Downloading drivers or manuals
1. Run the LG Mobile Phone Software Update Tool.
2. Under the menu "Customer Support," choose "Application, Manual & USB Driver Download…"
3. Remove the battery from your phone. When prompted, enter either the EMEI/ESN/MEID or the serial number (S/N) as listed on the battery and click the view icon to the right.
4. The LG Mobile Phone Software Update Tool will display a list of software, drivers, and manuals for your phone. Double click on any item in the list to download it. Be sure to keep track of where the file downloads.
5. Once the file has downloaded, unzip it (if necessary) and run it or read it.
Download PCSynch software for Windows
Although the software upgrade program is not designed to delete your user information, we recommend using the PCSynch software to back up the data on your phone before upgrading.

Important Notes

• Your phone cannot be used to call, receive calls, or send and receive messages while the software is being upgraded.
• Do not disconnect the USB cable until the upgrade is complete. Disconnecting the USB cable or interrupting the upgrade process before it complete may render your phone unusable.
• The handset will be automatically reset during the upgrade process.
• The process should take 10-30 minutes.
Instructions for upgrading your phone’s software
1. Unzip the zip file with the drivers or software that you downloaded onto your computer.
2. Run the program called "setup.exe" that you unzipped with the drivers.
To install the drivers or software from your computer:
3. Make sure your phone is not connected to your computer with the USB cable.
4. Turn off the phone and remove its battery.
5. Connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable.
To install the drivers or software starting from the phone:
3. Turn on the phone
4. Connect the USB cable to the phone and computer.
5. When the "USB connection mode" popup appears on the phone, select "PC Suite".
To finish installation:
6. The Windows "Found new hardware" wizard will start on your computer.
7. Click "Next" when prompted.
8. When the Windows logo certification popup appears, click "Continue anyway."
9. Click "Finish" to complete the installation.
10. Disconnect the USB cable from your phone and computer.
11. Put the battery back in the phone if you removed it.
12. Turn on the phone.
If you do not get to the Finish button in the Found new hardware wizard:
8a. Disconnect the USB cable from your phone.
8b. Remove the phone’s battery.
8c. Click the "Retry" button in the Found new hardware wizard on your computer.
8d. Connect the USB cable to your phone and your computer.
8e. The Found new hardware wizard should continue.
