With its round cavity, the WaveDOM combination oven is 60% bigger inside than our conventional microwaves. Its unique shape makes cooking almost as fast as cleaning. Its Speed Cook feature reduces cooking time by 30%, whilst keeping foods crisp on the outside and moist and tender on the inside.

Design plays a critical role in harmonising technology and human needs. In an effort to predict emerging needs and deliver innovative products to the public, LG has developed a comprehensive design philosophy that boils down to four basic elements: concept, style, interface, and finish.
At LG, we strive to make your home life easier and more enjoyable by creating digital appliances that fit your lifestyle and home décor.
In this era of digital technology, LG has been delving deeply into design and research. Our design team is focused on creating digital appliances that make life easier and more fun.
Digital technology is becoming an increasingly important tool in our modern lives. A growing number of products come equipped with “intelligent” microchips and networking options. This technology, though still in its early stages, has great potential—requiring our designers to put on their “inventing caps” to predict emerging trends, design new lifestyle concepts, and test out their designs on a demanding public.
At the LG Life Soft Research Lab, established almost 20 years ago, researchers, designers, and trend scouts work to predict the future by examining and identifying consumer desires; observing the public’s interest in products; and developing design concepts and solutions based on this research.
This is how LG stays one step ahead of the game—we’re always working on products for the future. Our research is focused not only on new products and technological trends, but also on understanding customer and market behaviour.
A great deal of your daily life takes place in the kitchen. So we put careful research and deliberation into our kitchen designs to meet your needs. The four basic elements of our design philosophy—concept, style, interface, and finish—are carefully integrated in every LG digital kitchen appliance.
LG microwave ovens have revolutionised microwave cooking with ingenious features like SolarCUBETM, which combines halogen, sheath, convection, and microwave cooking to deliver foods that are moist and tender on the inside, and crisp on the outside. And, with stainless steel exteriors and hidden venting, our microwave ovens are sure to complement the aesthetic of your kitchen.
LG microwave ovens are designed to operate on a standard 230V-240V household outlet. (They are also intended to be the only appliance on the circuit.) Our units are not designed for a circuit other than a 230V-240V circuit.
LG microwave ovens must be grounded! If an electrical short circuit occurs, grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape-wire for the electrical current. Our microwaves are equipped with a cord that includes a grounded wire and grounded plug. Be sure to insert the plug into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
If you do not understand these instructions, or if you’re wondering whether your appliance is properly grounded, ask a qualified electrician; using a grounding plug improperly can put you at risk for electric shock.

Large Cooking Space Compared to conventional, square microwave ovens, the LG WaveDOM offers a unique, dome-shaped cooking area that not only increases turntable size by 27%, it also boosts volume by 60%. That means it’s easy to cook larger foods.
Speed Cook Unlike conventional microwaves, the LG WaveDOM boasts a unique dome-shaped cooking area that concentrates energy to distribute heat more evenly. Its Speed Cook function combines two innovative cooking methods to accomplish the task: a Hurricane Grill from the upper heater that works in tandem with a Hurricane Flow from the convection fan. Our Speed Cook Dome accelerates cooking time by 30%, whilst also locking in juices for deliciously moist, tender, and more evenly cooked foods.
:> Space Saving Unlike conventional microwave ovens that have a lot of wasted space, we relocated the WaveDOM’s convection fan from the back corner to the front of the microwave—allowing the appliance to sit closer to the wall, and giving you more counter space to work with.
Easy to Clean By eliminating difficult-to-clean corners, our curved back-plate is a breeze to wipe up.
