Residential Air Conditioners
The standard is now to have a chic design to make a real feature in the home. LG Electronics' residential air conditioners have become more user-friendly due to their use of cutting-edge technology, including the human sensor robot, robot cleaner and sleep operation technology. In addition, the company uses highly efficient components that reduce energy consumption while increasing customer satisfaction.
Commercial Air Conditioners
Air conditioners come in various forms, including wall-mounted, stand-mounted and ceiling-mounted, to accommodate any space or type of business. The entire range of commercial air conditioners has an energy efficiency rating of 1, reducing electricity costs for customers.
Air Conditioning Systems for Buildings
The air conditioning systems for buildings have a large operating capacity yet require only a small area for installation. They are also equipped with self-diagnosis technology to facilitate maintenance. The high efficient system has been achieved using DC inverter technology and highly efficient components, and the system's heating function has been enhanced to allow continuous operation even in cold environments with the temperature as low as -25C.

Major R&D Achievements in Air Conditioning
2009
Launched the chiller system for high-rise buildings and the combined heating and air conditioning system.
The chiller system with its cooling functions was designed for high-rise buildings, and heating systems were enhanced to provide an instant water heating function.
Launched a residential air conditioner that provides higher satisfaction to customers with more features for added convenience.
The world's first stand-mounted air conditioner with an embedded human sensor robot that aims the cool air directly at the person, and a filter cleaning robot that keeps the system clean.
2008
Launched the renewable hybrid system.
LG Electronics has developed the eco-friendly water-cooling Multi V that uses the earth's heat and has superb energy conservation effects. It has also developed the small Multi V cogeneration system that runs on gas.
Received the Energy Winner Award in three fields and the Healthy Housing Award from the Environment Minister
A diverse home support system for creating eco-friendly and highly efficient homes was developed, including a terrestrial heating and ventilation system.
2007
Developed the Multi V super II air conditioning system (among the top ten new technologies in Korea)
LG Electronics developed the world's first air conditioning system with an embedded self-diagnosis function and with the world's highest energy efficiency. It received certification as one of the top ten new technologies in Korea.
The Whisen Air Conditioner received President's National Environment Management Award.
LG Electronics received the National Environment Management Award for developing an environmentally-friendly process for all the stages of operation from the supply of parts to product development and production.
2006
The Whisen Stand Air Conditioner received the Good Design Award.
LG Electronics launched a range of stand-mounted air conditioners that has dispersed with the traditional image of white appliances and uses design to create a real feature in the home.

Art Cool, the world's first frame-mounted air conditioner, selected as an outstanding design product.
LG Electronics developed Art Cool, a frame-mounted air conditioner, designed to resemble a work of art hanging on the wall. With this came a new age of interior design icons for air conditioners.
