LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, home appliances and mobile communications, participated in the 2009 Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) from September 4-9.
LG unveiled pioneering home entertainment products, under its theme of LIVE BORDERLESS™. This was interconnected with LG's BORDERLESS™ TVs, two of which were introduced at the show; the SL8000 and SL9000. These TVs appear to be one uninterrupted glass screen and represent years of research and development. Both products challenge accepted design conventions, changing the future of TV creation.
Innovative home products also had their debut at the 2009 IFA, with the theme “Upgrade Life for You and Your Family”. Highlights from LG included washing machines, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, cooking and built-in appliances, dishwashers, the Linear Compressor, Inverter Direct Drive™, and its dust compression system. LG's 11kg washing machine was also premiered, which offers maximum efficiency and capacity.
LG's Business Solutions booth demonstrated its network monitors. These allow 1 host PC to deliver virtual workspaces to 11 users, reducing upgrade and maintenance costs by 60% and 70%.
A quiz for visitors was also held, four times a day, with questions relating to LG monitors. Winners were awarded a stylish and practical LG digital photo frame.
LG LED TV
The combination of LED and advanced backlight technology has made possible an impressively slim TV at a mere 2.9cm, the perfect complement to the home décor in both space saved and mood enhanced.
The SL9000's screen blurs the line between fantasy and reality, eliminating the seam between the screen and the bezel and offering audiences a fully absorbing viewing experience. LG's SL9000 guarantees a clearer and more natural image with an extremely high dynamic contrast ratio at 3,000,000:1, while the Anti-glare Screen reduces distractions.

LG Plasma TV
Winner of an iF Product Design Award, LG's PS8000 looks like a clear piece of crystal hanging on the wall. A 2.5mm-thick single pane of glass covers the set's entire face, eliminating the need for a traditional bezel.
The panel's 600Hz Max Sub-field Driving technology reacts with outstanding precision to changes on the screen, delivering fast action and zero motion blur.

LG Home Cinema
LG HB954PB is LG's premium Blu-ray 5.1 channel home cinema system. This beautifully designed multi-media powerhouse provides absolute clarity in audio and video as well as unlimited access to diverse media, from Blu-ray discs, DVD, DivX HD to MKV. It can also connect to an external hard disk drive for even more content.
This new sound system incorporates Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential, delivering ideal sound through an advanced system of four speakers in an attractive champagne and silver-blue finish.

LG Blu-ray Player
LG's new BD390 Blu-ray player offers a more enhanced online capability with a built-in Wi-Fi connection, bringing a highly interactive device into the living room. DLNA certification makes content-sharing easy through an interoperable network in which digital content such as photos, music, and videos can be shared through electronic devices inside and outside the home.
With interactive BD-Live, based on the latest Blu-ray Profile 2.0, viewers can connect to the internet to enjoy games, music and movies in the comfort of their living rooms. It can also stream YouTube videos, giving customers access to a massive virtual entertainment collection beyond simple DVD playback.

LG New 11Kg Washing Machine
LG showcases more than a durable and eco-friendly washing machine this year. Its new front-loading washing machine boasts the largest-ever capacity within a standard 24’’ cabinet size.
This innovative space efficiency is enabled by LG’s Inverter Direct Drive™ technology, new damping system and fixed outer tub. The washing machine can save up to 20-percent more energy than other A-rated washing machines, which is the lowest energy level in the new Energy Label regulation.

LG New Side-by-Side Refrigerator
Thanks to LG’s innovative space saving technology, LG’s new side-by-side refrigerator offers an enormous 617-liter capacity, while maintaining the refrigerator’s overall dimensions. Its capacity is same as the volume of approximately 2,460 small (250ml) soft drink cans.
Its Linear Compressor also lowers energy consumption by ap-proximately 20-percent compared to conventional refrigerator, earning an A+ class rating ac-cording to the EU energy labeling.
