About LG

On October 2, 2005, the final round of the "Way to Olympia Peak" took place in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Under the sponsorship of LG Electronics, this competition — open to Vietnamese high school students — was designed to find the overall winner out of all the past winners of the weekly TV program in the 2004 and 2005 series.
Le Vu Hoang, a 17-year-old, who represented the central region, won the grand prize with a total of 170 points, beating off stiff competition from his three rivals. In addition to his title as the "Way to Olympia Peak Champion," he also won USD 35,000 in prize money from LG Electronics Vietnam and a full scholarship from Swinburne University in Australia.
The awards ceremony brought with it an additional surprise when it was revealed that Hoang's mother was suffering from brain cancer and LG Electronics offered to donate 10 million dong toward her hospital expenses.
