-
With the goal of establishing itself as a company that shares people's troubles just like a warm-hearted next-door neighbor, LG Electronics does all it can to provide educational support to children and young people around the world. In China, for example, LG Electronics is forging ahead with its "I Love China" campaign and has established the "LG Hope Primary School."
In Mexico, LG Electronics continues to sponsor the secondary education of underprivileged female students, who show good academic potential. In Kazakhstan, LG Electronics offers computer classes for children. In Vietnam, Thailand, and Russia, LG Electronics helps support academically gifted students by offering scholarships through the TV show, LG Champion Quiz.
In Korea, LG Electronics offers the "Junior Science Class" program for underprivileged teenagers, including those who act as breadwinners at home. The company also runs the "LG Visiting Science Class" program for schools in remote mountain areas — making use of vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. These science education programs are designed to enhance the students' interest and understanding of science.
