LG Electronics has launched the "Construction of Love Houses" volunteer project thanks to the participation of every LG Electronics member — from the newest employee right through to the CEO himself.
LG Electronics supported the construction of a 12 unit town house, with each unit equating to around 53 m2, by donating a total of 720 million won and having its employees participate in the construction as volunteers for three months. It is worth noting that the donations were raised thanks to the cooperative efforts of the workforce and the management via the "LG Electronics Social Contribution Fund by Labor and Management," which was launched at the end of last year. It is of great significance that LG Electronics employees and management alike had a hand in the decision-making process and carried out the volunteer work together.
LG Electronics is facilitating the culture of voluntary social contribution by continuously organizing volunteer activities that require the participation of LG Electronics employees. This helps to prevent social contribution efforts from being confined to mere donations or one-off volunteer activities.
