The Steam Washing Machine by LG Electronics is an eco-product that is designed to make efficient use of resources and to reduce energy consumption. The use of hazardous, heavy metals has been avoided in the production of this product, and the noise level, size, and weight have also been greatly reduced. Customers can, therefore, delight in using this product.
Thanks to its DD (Direct Drive) motor, the Steam Washing Machine reduces electricity consumption by 16%, and the noise level has fallen by 10 dB. As for its steam function, the washing machine has reduced electricity consumption by 51% and water consumption by 44%, while increasing its washing capacity by 21%, thus maximizing energy efficiency.
In addition, in order to comply with the RoHS regulations of the EU (European Union) directives, the washing machine has been produced without hazardous heavy metals that were formerly used in the PCBs (Polychlorinated biphenyls), screws, the cabinet case, and power cables. The machine's cabinet has also been reduced in both weight and size, minimizing its consumption of resources. It is designed to be easily recycled.
In recognition of these efforts, all Steam Washing Machine models received the highly valued RoHS stamp of approval from TÜV, a European certification organization.
