Seoul, Korea, August 11, 2003 - LG Electronics (LGE) [Korea Stock Exchange: 6657.KS] is actively starting to capture the VOD camcorder phone market, a high price camera phone market, releasing 2 kinds of the video recording IMT-2000 mobile phone having the capability of not only recording 1 hour video clip, but also built-in download VOD, running time streaming function.
LGE(Chairman and CEO John Koo/ www.lge.com) said that it will release 2 kinds of VOD exclusive camcorder phone having the capability of 1 hour video recording, playback with 96 MByte, Korea's largest memory storage and the strong VOD service provided with the support of MPEG4 and dual speakers's stereo sound, on coming 11th, right after the end of development.
The distinctive feature of this LGE's camcorder phone is that it can record video clips for 1 hour for the first time in Korea. It expanded the epochal storage space for video clip, attaching the 64 MByte flash memory for supporting VOD and video clip, not like prior unity memory form.
