LG Electronics Introduces Two Models of 15-inch LCD Monitors
-    High performance multimedia monitor with TV reception capabilities in time with the rising interest in watching World Cup 2002 games
-    Folding type model allowing for optimum space utilization

LG Electronics has introduced two new models of 15-inch TFT-LCD monitors ?one that can receive TV and AV signals (Model: FLATRON LCD 568LT) and one that is designed as folding TFT-LCD monitor.

The introduction of new models follows on the heels of the mid-range LCD monitors (17 and 18 inches) introduced early this year. This means that LGE now has the full line-up of latest-edge multimedia LCD monitors, allowing the company to respond more dynamically to the diversifying customer demands.

FLATRON LCD 568LT supports latest multimedia features and comes with maximum resolution of 1024 * 768, respond speed of 25ms, and clarity of 350:1 to offer superb panel performance. It is a multimedia monitor that also comes with input terminal that can receive signals from 15Pin D-Sub, TV, audio, video and microphones as well as speakers to support not only TV viewing, but also connection to DVD, VTR, camcorder and gaming equipment.

In particular, being introduced in time for the 2002 World Cup games, viewers can enjoy the games just with a change of channel at home, office or while working at PC.

FLATRON LCD L1510B is a new generation monitor that used dual-hinge design so that this thin monitor can be folded like a notebook computer to maximize the advantage of space saving of the TFT-LCD monitor and create more pleasant and comfortable working environment.

This monitor is the first of its grade size to have “Pivot” function so that the screen can be turned 90 degrees to stand vertically for convenience of document editing. It also has USB support to enable connection with up to 127 peripherals and has built-in adaptor to offer the highest user convenience and design quality among 15-inch monitors.

With the introduction of the new monitors, LGE will be able to further strengthen its hold on the 15-inch monitors in which LG? market share is currently 75%.

Demand for LCD monitors in Korea (12% of total in 2001) is recording explosive growth (total volume expected to reach 3 million in 2002) and is expected to account for 25% or 750,000 units in 2002.
