LG Electronics Introduces Its Latest Home Networking Products at the Show

LG Electronics is unveiling world class digital home appliance products at the Home Tech Berlin 2002 to be held from February 27 to March 3.
Under the theme of "A Better Life with Digital", LGE will highlight its cutting-edge Home Network products such as Internet digital DIOS refrigerator, Internet air conditioner, Internet washing machine, and Internet microwave at its spacious 1,386 square meter booth. In addition, products based on new innovative concepts will also be showcased - such as refrigerator with powerful power saving features thanks to the new linear compressor technology and “Light Oven” where cooking time is shortened by as much as four times by using light in cooking.
As this is the world's largest exhibition for home electronics products, it will not only be an opportunity for LGE to showcase a wide range of Internet home appliance and other top-notch white appliance products where it is the recognized world leader, but also as the venue for launching its Living Network products such as Internet DIOS refrigerator and Internet washing machine to Europe.
LGE's exhibition area will be divided into 8 different zones - 2 special zones each representing Network and Design and 7 zones by product (Refrigerator, Washing Machine, Air Conditioner, Microwave, Vacuum Cleaner, and Components). The main focus of LGE’s exhibition area will be Home Network products, more specifically Internet appliances by showing the changes and convenience brought about by digital technology to highlight LGE as the Digital Leader. PDP and other high tech products will be used to show scenes where user-friendly and intuitive digital products are used at home to differentiate LG as the brand for digital products. More specifically, LGE has selected premium level high-end products based on LGE’s world best technologies as exhibits for Home Tech 2002 to strengthen LGE's position as the high-end brand in Europe.
LGE was the first in the world to introduce the Internet refrigerator -- a Home Network product with Internet access capability -- in June 2000. It soon earned the position as the leader of Home Network by introducing other Internet-based information appliance products in washing machine, air conditioner, and microwave within a year from the introduction of the Internet refrigerator.
LGE plans to introduce more mid-range Living Network products from this year. With unveilings at the Home Tech Berlin 2002 as a start, it plans to introduce new products such as Internet refrigerator and Internet washing machine to Europe, Latin America, and other regions of the world within the first half of the year.
LGE expects its participation at the Home Tech Berlin 2002 to lead to tangible results such as sales increase by enhancing LG brand image as the digital leader, and by leveraging the exhibition as an opportunity to promote its new technologies and new products while strengthening marketing efforts to the European market.
