LG's design center was born from the company's commitment to product design and its desire to continue expanding its design network throughout the world.
Global Network
Since 1991, LG's global design network has been developing gradually to meet the needs of its customers worldwide. Around 540 employees from 12 nations work tirelessly to fulfil LG's global design strategy. The network includes all the designers in the four departments of the company's design center in Korea, as well as those working in the five associated international offices.
History
LG Electronics may have humble origins, but the vision of its founders was just as strong then as it is now. LG has come a long way since the appointment of its first industrial designer and its invention of the first transistor radio back in 1958. Nowadays, its focus has moved with the times and marketing, technology, design, and cooperation have become the new buzz words.
Best Design Team
At the reddot design awar-ds in 2006, LG was given the title of "Design Team of the Year 2006" - an award that is only ever bestowed upon the very best design companies.
