LG Electronics has
won the 'Design Team of the Year 2006' of reddot design
award for its focus on design management.
This is only the second time that the design department
of an Asian company has won reddot's 'Radius' Trophy.
The company's management team is always on the look-out
for great designs. LG Electronics upholds its unique
design philosophy and brand strategy and ceaselessly
pursues innovation through design. These efforts paid
off as LG Electronics won the 2006 German reddot's Best
Design Team of the Year Award, demonstrating its global
design leadership. The world's most authoritative design
award is provided every year to only a single corporation,
and the winner keeps the trophy for one year and returns
it the following year to the award ceremony. Only 16
world-renowned corporations have so far won this award,
such as Benz, Audi, Sony, and Adidas. LG Electronics
became the second Asian corporation after Sony to have
its name carved on the trophy.
