| Since joining LG in 1986
as a general manager for the company's facility
in Worms, Germany, Mr. Kang has built up impressive
international experience through a number of management
positions overseas in Germany, Canada and the United
States as well as in Seoul.
In 1990 Mr. Kang was appointed general manager
of LG Electronics' International Finance Department
in Seoul, two years later named general manager
of the company's Organization Revitalization Team.
Later in 1992, he was promoted to executive director
and senior consultant of management innovation
for LG Electronics and in 1995 he became executive
director and team leader of the Zenith Support
Team (ZEST).
Mr. Kang took another oversees position in 1996,
as President of the company's Canadian Office.
The next year Mr. Kang was appointed Vice President
and Corporate Treasurer of Zenith Electronics
Corporation, a subsidiary of LG Electronics. Then,
in 2000, he moved up to become President of LG
Electronics' U.S. Digital Appliance Brand Management
division, leading the successful launch of LG's
digital appliance business in U.S. Before taking
his current position, Mr. Kang was the company's
Head of Korean Sales and Marketing Operations.
